A very rare pair of original card tables, veneered and carved in Gonzalo Alves with a equally rare East Indian Wood. Stunning reel and bead carving with superb bird claw feet. Produced by Gillows of Lancaster and stamped for authenticity! These actual tables are featured in Volume 1 Gillows book, author Susan E Stuart, page 263, so the provenance is superb! Please note that not all Gillows furniture is stamped, therfore adding to it's antiquity value. To find a pair of card tables in this condition, with a beautiful wax finish, is exceptionally rare.
