Jolly hols in Devon with Doris
I have just spent a week in the South Hams with my friend Betty. Despite torrential downpours and close shaves with savage sheep, we have returned rested and inspired with plans for designing a rustic retreat for Betty.
We spent the week by the sea in Slapton, in a little thatched cottage, which was full of country style furniture. Just the sort of thing that I adore, the dining room had aged chairs with a distressed paint finish set around an antique oak table. In the same room was a very charming display case showing an eclectic collection of scent bottles and seashells.
I can see why Betty has fallen in love with this look and I’ve promised that I can recreate it using the Sweetpea & Willow site.
Ta Ta for now Doris x
