Jolly hols in Devon with Doris

I have just spent a week in the South Hams with my friend Betty. Despite torrential downpours and close shaves with savage sheep, we have returned rested and inspired with plans for designing a rustic retreat for Betty.
We spent the week by the sea in Slapton, in a little thatched cottage, which was full of country style furniture. Just the sort of thing that I adore, the dining room had aged chairs with a distressed paint finish set around an antique oak table. In the same room was a very charming display case showing an eclectic collection of scent bottles and seashells.
I can see why Betty has fallen in love with this look and I’ve promised that I can recreate it using the Sweetpea & Willow site.

Ta Ta for now Doris x

Moving day at Sweetpea & Willow

Just returned form 10 days sunny hols in Cornwall, loads of famous 5 picnics and fishing in rock pools (with the occasional sideways glance at the surfers and life guards!)
Walked in to find that it’s all change here at Sweetpea & Willow head office. Our much anticipated moving day has finally arrived…Yes! On Monday we pack up load everything into one of our vans and trundle down the road to Isleworth. We are promised state of the art computers, an amazing all singing all dancing telephone system and proper coffee (none of your rubbish instant stuff).
Painters have been busy all week transforming the ground floor into a gorgeous showroom where we can arrange to meet interior designers and customers who want to see our fab French style furniture.
Even the website has had a make-over, our photographer has been busy taking some new photos of our best selling upholstered beds which have made me want to totally re-do my bedroom especially as we will be selling all the cushions and bedding in the picture shortly.
I hear that the make over theme extends to our delivery drivers who will now be sporting Sweetpea & Willow shirts as they deliver all over the country.
So looks like we are in for a very busy week let’s hope it all goes according to plan!

Love Jill xx
