British Food Fortnight – great British veg.

Union Jack

British Food Fortnight – great British veg.

I don’t know where the time goes, Thursday already and it was Monday a minute ago! Today’s the day we get our organic food box delivered and although I order some things specifically like cheese and eggs generally it is a bit pot luck as to what seasonal vegetables we get.  I love the smell of the mud and the freshness of the vegetables and knowing that these are in season here and now, not flown halfway round the world to get to my kitchen. It could be any of the following which are in season in October:

Bilberries, blackberries, Goose, Grouse, Mackerel, Sea Bass, Mussels, Sloes, Pumpkins and so many more delicious things to choose from.

All great British vegetables for great British food.  And talking of British you may have noticed the increasingly frequent Heart shaped Union Jacks on some of our items. Have a look at the Lulu Chaise Longue and the Laurent Chaise Longue as an example.

Union Jack

Well, it’s all a bit hush hush but you will be seeing a lot more of these Union Jacks across our website soon.  It is very exciting so watch this space!!!!
