Traditional, French and Stylish

Last weekend I watched ‘Funny Face’ and ever since I haven’t been able to get the many fabulous images of Audrey Hepburn prancing gorgeously around Paris out of my mind. Audrey flaunting her classic style in front of some of the most iconic landmarks in one of the most stylish cities in the world reminded me of the three fundamental, back to basics features of our beautiful, shabby chic furniture: traditional, French and stylish.  Here are just a few examples of how our French style furniture embodies these basic characteristics….

Like a bottle of Chanel No 5, our Gold Gilt Emmanuel Chaise Longue and our Eichholtz Footstool Platinum are both brimming with classic Parisienne glamour. They both look as though they have been plucked straight from Louis XVI’s palace. What’s more, our Grey Wash Fire Screen embodies the ornate elegance of the magnificent Gates of Versailles.

It doesn’t get much more traditional than our Toulouse Dining Table. One of our bestsellers, this table has all the charm of a conventional French chateau. Time- honoured French style is even present in our more modern acrylic range. Much of it is inspired by the Baroque style and one chair is in the shape of the iconic, Parisian Eiffel Tower.
