All dolled up and with somewhere to go… the Sweetpea & Willow team were exclusively invited to attend the sixth annual Red Ribbon Awards, which took place in the illustrious venue of Shakespeare’s Globe in London!

The Red Ribbon Awards seek to recognise and honour some of the most exciting, innovative and longstanding family businesses around the UK, of which there are over 3 million family run companies. Hundreds of businesses had been nominated for the awards, including ourselves, in which we were up for the ‘Family Factor’ and ‘Best of British’ awards. Fingers were well and truly crossed.

After plenty of mingling with other nominees (and snaffling of the delicious hors d’oeuvres!) it was time to find our seats and enjoy the night a head. And without further  ado, we are delighted to share with you, that we were Commended for Excellence in the ‘Best of British’ award! We were recognised for our British heritage and bringing those values to the forefront of the brand, something which has driven and inspired our ‘Handmade in London’ collection, which is all designed and manufactured right here in the capital! *pops champagne cork and throws hands in the air*

It’s awesome to receive recognition, but it’s even more special knowing that we are walking in the illustrious footsteps of previous winners which include Michel Roux Jr, The Entertainer and The Cambridge Satchel Company!

In addition to the fabulous commendation for excellence, we were also successful in the charity auction which followed, sponsoring the build of a well in Uganda as part of the Fields for Life outreach programme. They are a wonderful charity who are committed to bringing positive change in East Africa through the provisions of quality education, clean water, health promotion and other community based projects – we cannot wait to provide them with the support that they need!

Finally, we would like to say a huge congratulations to Amalia, Anita and the Family Business Place team for hosting such a wonderful evening; if you would like to find out more then click here:
