As the little monsters get older, they grow and begin to like new things and have new interests so just as they change, so must the space around them. Decorating their bedroom to match who they are is important, as it can be a place they relax in, take inspiration from and learn in. We have a few tricks that could help you achieve your goals which can really brighten up your little one’s mood.

A little colour goes a long way. The great thing about paint is it can change as many times as you want it to. It’s also a fun way to get the kids involved in transforming their room.

2. The Bed Play Area

Because children grow so fast, we end up changing their beds every few years and as they get older, so does their collection of belongings…introducing beds with storage. They are a great idea to reduce clutter and create more space for your monster to play, relax and maybe even study!

3. Making use of the old.

We saw this interesting idea and had to share it with you all! What an amazing way to make use of an old bed, it just goes to show that a little creativity will get you through the day…or years. Cribs can also be revamped into bookshelves or outdoor benches…the sky is your limit. And again, this DIY idea is a way to involve the kids in the decoration of their own personal space.

4. Be creative.Image Source: Better Homes and Gardens via Pinterest
Kids will forever be experimenting and creating things and a chalkboard wall is an epic way of celebrating that, with minimal mess – what more could one ask for! From practising their ABC’s to using it as a revision wall as they grow or a place to create memories and friendships, it is a great fun way of using space.

What neat tricks have you used when decorating and revamping your child’s room?
